Investing In Public Services

Direct Local Investment

  • Home Range Clean Power will provide long-term property tax payments as well as voluntary county Donation Agreement payments (also known as Payment in Lieu of Taxes or PILOT Agreements) supporting essential services like schools, public safety, libraries, and public health. These agreements will be co-developed with the counties in 2026.
  • Comparable Kansas energy projects provide $1,500–$2,750 per megawatt annually, generating hundreds of thousands of dollars each year for host counties. Wind and solar power projects in Kansas provide $33.5 million annually in property, state and local taxes.
  • Home Range is committed to working with local leaders and community members to ensure project contributions directly benefit local priorities. Guided by community input, Home Range has already made donations to Holcomb School District, Deerfield School District, Russell Child Development Center, and the Western Kansas Community Foundation.
