  • Over 500 construction jobs during a 2–3 year period between 2027 and 2030.
  • Work for equipment operators, electricians, concrete and steel workers, truck drivers, plumbers, and many other skilled trades.
  • The energy project will also provide over 25 long-term operations and maintenance (O&M) positions, spread across the natural gas, solar, wind and battery energy storage facilities. These are well-paid jobs with benefits and advancement opportunities. Kansas currently has a clean energy workforce of 9,700 employees statewide.
  • A data center would employ an incremental permanent workforce – typically initially 50–150 full-time employees locally.
  • Partnerships with local institutions like Garden City Community College to support workforce training.
  • Increased business for local restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, and other service providers.
