As Lincoln County has experienced, wind projects generate millions of tax dollars providing new revenue for local services like public health, emergency services and education.
Sentinel will create about 400 construction jobs and an estimated 10-20 long-term positions with good pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement over the life of the project.
Construction will require a wide range of specialty technicians, including equipment operators, carpenters, steel and iron workers, concrete laborers and finishers, electricians, plumbers, painters, and truck drivers.
The construction of a renewable energy project, expected to last approximately 18 months, also generates economic opportunities for area service industries, such as hotels, grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations.
