About the Job
Triple Oak Power is hiring a Community Liaison to help drive the development of a portion of our robust pipeline of US onshore renewable energy projects. The Community Liaison will be the first point of contact for local communities in the areas close to our projects from project initiation throughout development. The Community Liaison works as an integral member of the project development team and is an advocate for Triple Oak Power and its projects, including building a strong reputation and relationships within local communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of our project portfolio and the sustainable development landscape
- Build relationships with groups and networks in the communities where our projects are located
- Participate in community outreach efforts such as town hall meetings and community events
- Arrange and attend community open days, chamber of commerce events and other community gatherings as required
- Document personal interactions with stakeholders and community members, and support documentation of other team member interactions
- Develop strong long-term relationships with individuals and groups within the local community
- Collect, analyze, and use data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve the relationship between our Tiple Oak Power and local stakeholders
- Have an understanding of each local community and establish how best to engage with each community in a meaningful manner
- Communicate regularly with the project development team and provide updates in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
Required Qualifications
- Well-developed professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the community
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage with individuals on a one to one or group basis
- Organized with the ability to simultaneously maintain oversight of multiple community interactions
- Team player with strong communication, influencing and relationship building skills
- Previous experience in stakeholder management, networking, public relations and public speaking
- Experience in a community focused role
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for sustainable development
