Karina Osma Pérez’s Internship Reflection at Triple Oak

Summer Intern

We’re proud to congratulate our talented intern, Karina Osma Pérez, on completing her Triple Oak Power internship. A Georgia Institute of Technology student majoring in Industrial Engineering, Karina spent the summer at our headquarters, where she played a direct role in advancing our mission to develop sustainable energy plants.

Karina shared her reflections on the experience:

“As I wrap up my internship at Triple Oak Power, I’ve been reflecting on how much I’ve learned over the past few months. Coming in as a Commercial Execution Intern, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect—but I quickly found myself immersed in projects that challenged me to think critically, adapt quickly, and contribute meaningfully.

“From designing the underground electrical collection system for one of our Texas projects using tools like GIS, to shaping community engagement strategies in Colorado, every task pushed me to connect technical detail with broader strategic goals. I also had the chance to support lease operations, RFPs, and inform the financial team digital transformation roadmap by evaluating different financial software platforms—each project offering a new lens into how clean energy projects come to life.

“Perhaps most importantly, I got to work alongside a team that values curiosity, collaboration, and impact. Their mentorship and trust gave me the confidence to take ownership of my work and see the bigger picture. Grateful for this experience—and excited to carry these lessons forward as I continue to explore the fascinating world of renewables.”

We’re excited to follow Karina’s continued success as an emerging clean energy innovator. Thank you, Karina, and congratulations from the entire Triple Oak Team!
